Cementitious pressure grouting, polyurethane injection, void filling, localized reconstruction, and grinding address different void, soil, load, moisture, access, and elevation conditions.
Step 1, We establish a level survey and injection pattern, then lift in small increments from low points while watching the whole panel and adjacent joints. Material volume and pressure are controlled to fill support without creating a new high spot, cracking the slab, or forcing grout into services.
Step 2, Work stage 1. We map elevations, joint faulting, cracks, rocking, drainage, void sound, and load. GPR, utility records, and selective probes locate reinforcement, conduits, pipes, slab thickness, and cavities before drilling.
Step 3, Work stage 2. The structural and geotechnical review distinguishes void filling from actual lifting and checks whether settlement is ongoing. Drainage or leaking utilities are repaired so injected support is not undermined again.
Step 4, Work stage 3. A grid of small holes is drilled for polyurethane, or larger ports are used for cementitious slabjacking. Hole spacing follows panel size, void geometry, material spread, and the location of cracks and edges.
Step 5, Work stage 4. Injection begins at low volume. Survey lasers, string lines, digital levels, and joint gauges track movement in millimetre increments while neighbouring panels and door, rail, curb, and drain interfaces are watched.
Step 6, Work stage 5. Polyurethane expands quickly and is useful where small ports, light material, and rapid return are important. Cementitious grout provides a mineral fill and is pumped in controlled stages where access and slab capacity suit its greater weight.
Step 7, Work stage 6. After elevation and support are accepted, ports are removed, holes are filled flush with compatible mortar, joints and cracks are restored, and the slab is checked under load where the plan requires it.
Slab lifting follows the engineer's repair plan under CSA A23.3 where structural concrete is involved, CSA A23 concrete requirements for hole and surface repairs, and the approved grout or polyurethane product data. Elevation tolerance, allowable pressure, material volume, and stop criteria are set before injection.
